Kelburn butcher closes door due to Covid-19

Cameron Harris Butchery in Kelburn, Wellington has closed its doors after 9 years in that suburb. There was confusion in lockdown about whether butchers were an essential business. Cameron Harris bought in $20,000 of meat, only to find they couldn’t sell it. They were prevented from trading in the lockdown meaning that the majority of their customers moved to buy their meat in supermarkets.
